VISION

To be an apostolic community of faith in which people rediscover how to believe in something bigger than they are, to become something better than they are, and to belong to a group of people like they are.

Through this lens we’ve strived to build the ministries, programs, facilities, and teams of Woodlawn Church.  It’s our vision - we’re not saying we’ve fully arrived or fully realize the potential of this statement - but it’s our vision.  It’s the lens wherewith we view the world. Check out our 10 Core Values.

To be an APOSTOLIC...

Simply put, to be Apostolic is to be like the Apostles.  Generally speaking, “Apostles” refer the first century church leaders.  To find their actions and decisions, there is an entire history book found in Scripture - The Acts of the Apostles.  There are certain things that defined the first century church, and those things can be found in the history book of the early church.  If an action, attitude, or movement defined the early church, we want that same action, attitude, and movement to be a part of our church.
